This journal includes a list of general commission prices for my illustration work. Each commission will include one fully realized illustration in color with digital delivery in 300 dpi, non-watermarked TIF and a web-sized JPG. Commissions will *not* be available as a print at this time, unless you request to buy it as a print through dA's printing service. (Sorry!)
Obviously, please look through my gallery to get an understanding of what kind of illustration I do. Most of my illustration is children-oriented or at least with a childlike touch. This includes storybooks, conceptual images, character and mascot design, T-shirt design, posters, identities, etc. I also am available to do editorial work, which may cost slightly more, as it is often highly conceptual and based on a clever idea.
Without further ado, ah hah, here is a base price list, based on sized and intensity, for a single illustrated image. As a reminder, this is for a commission for professional illustration with fairly quick turnaround, depending.
Images 6 x 6" or smaller: $20
Images 6 x 6" to 8.5 x 11": $25
Images 8.5 x 11" to 11 x 14": $35
Images larger than 11 x 14": $50+ (ask for quote)
Commissioned images will include a fairly basic background. However, if the image requires a more intense background, expect a $10 increase in price. If the image requires no background (spot illustration) or a single color background, the price may reduce up to $5 decrease. As you can see, this is heavily based on case-by-case. Also, if I expect an image to take more working time than usual (maybe it needs a lot of conceptualization), I may quote a slight increase in price.
Note: I request to be paid in-full at the beginning of the project, but will negotiate if you wish to have some proof of the commission before paying, especially for larger projects. For example, you can request to see a sketch before paying, if you want to see how the commission is coming along. But as a safeguard to myself, high-res images most definitely will not be sent until payment is received. I am open to discuss and compromise so that the both of us are satisfied.

I currently accept Paypal only. (But if you cannot do Paypal, you may be able to convince me).
For more in-depth projects, such as a series of images or fully-illustrated storybook, please contact me for a quote. I would be happy to work on a larger scale project for you, so please just note me an inquiry or e-mail me at erin @ erinwitzel.com !
Of course, as a reminder: All art will retain my copyright. If you are using the image commercially, we will have to discuss usage terms, so I understand how and where you will be using the image(s). I am happy to see my illustration anywhere you'd like to take it, but as long as I retain the credit I deserve! That's all I ask!
Sooo! Please note me with any commission requests. I will try and get back to you asap, but please understand if it takes a couple of days
